In the Sikkim assembly elections of 1985, three former CMs of the state fought elections along with other candidates. The election results registered a clear sweep by Sikkim Sangram Parishad, and party leader and former CM Mr Nar Bahadur Bhandari was invited to from the government by the then Governor of the state, Mr.T.V.Rajeswar.
