About Talwandi Sabo Assembly Constituency

Talwandi Sabo is constituency No. 94 of Punjab legislative assembly. It is situated in Bathinda district and comes under Bathinda Lok Sabha constituency. It is an open constituency. According to data with the Election Commission of India, this assembly constituency has 1,32,671 registered voters. It comprises 71,449 male and 61,222 female registered voters. The Congress won this constituency by 8,524 votes in the last Punjab assembly elections held in 2012. Jeetmohinder Singh Sidhu, the winning candidate from Congress, got 53,730 votes. With 45,206 votes, the runner-up was Amarjit Singh Sidhu of Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD). The voter turnout was 86.40 %.
