About Dakha Assembly Constituency

Dakha is constituency No. 68 of Punjab legislative assembly. The northwestern state of Punjab has 117 assembly constituencies. Dakha assembly constituency is situated in Ludhiana district in central Punjab. It comes under the Ludhiana Lok Sabha constituency. It is an unreserved constituency.

According to data with the Election Commission of India, Dakha assembly constituency has 1,63,910 registered voters. It has 86,776 male and 77,134 female registered voters.

In the last Punjab assembly elections held in 2012, the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) won this constituency by 16,388 votes. Manpreet Singh Ayali, the winning Shiromani Akali Dal candidate, got 72,208 votes. The runner-up was Jasbir Singh Khangura of Congress who got 55,820 votes. The voter turnout was a good 84.41 %.
