Andro is constituency No. 7 of Manipur legislative assembly.It is situated in Imphal East district and comes under Inner Manipur Lok Sabha constituency. It is an open assembly constituency.According to data with the Election Commission of India, Andro assembly constituency has 28,289 registered voters. It comprises 13,883 male and 14,406 female registered voters.
In the last assembly elections held in 2012, the All India Trinamool Congress (AITC) won this constituency by an impressive margin of 10,432 votes. Thounaojam Shyamkumar, the winning candidate from AITC, got 16,989 votes. With 6,557 votes, the runner-up was Alhaj Md. Ahamed Ali of Congress. The voter turnout was 88.41 %.
