About Dahisar Assembly (Vidhan Sabha) Constituency

One of the suburbs of Mumbai, Dahisar belongs to Mumbai North parliamentary constituency. Ghosalkar Vinod Ramchandra of SHS won the assembly elections of 2009. He defeated Dr. Dube Yogesh Ghanshyam of INC. Ramchandra received 60069 votes as against Ghanshyam's 43913 votes. Dahisar is a town in Mumbai Suburban district of Maharashtra. The word Dahi in Dahisar means ten. Dahisar is also the name of the railway station. The place was once popular for the shooting of the films.
