NCP (Nationalist Congress Party). Nawab Malik of NCP won the 2009 assembly elections. He
defeated Kate
Tukaram Ramkrishna of SHS (Shiv Sena). Malik secured 38928 votes as against Ramkrishna's
32103 votes.
Anushakti Nagar assembly constituency belongs to Mumbai South Central Lok Sabha
constituency. It is mainly
a residential area. The word 'Anushakti' in Sanskrit means atomic power. Bhabha Atomic
