Yellapur is a Legislative Assembly/Vidhan Sabha Constituency in the Uttara Kannada district of Karnataka. There are a total of 1,70,885 voters in this assembly of which 87,275 are males, 83,658 are females, and 2 are the third gender. In the 2018 assembly elections, this seat was won by INC candidate Arbail Hebbar Shivaram.

The 2019 Bypoll candidates are Bhimanna Naik - Indian National Congress, Chaitra Gowda A - Janata Dal (Secular), Hebbar Shivaram - BJP.
