About Gool Arnas Assembly (Vidhan Sabha) Constituency

One of the 87 assembly constituencies of Jammu and Kashmir, Gool Arnas belongs to Udhampur parliamentary constituency. Model village Buddhan is a great example of the development work carried out in the area but in the constituency development takes place at a very slow pace, whether in the health sector or educational sector or any other area. Aijaz Ahmad Khan of INC won the 2008 assembly elections for the second consecutive time. He defeated Gulam Qadir Mugal of JKNC. Khan bagged 15594 votes as against Mugal's 12142 votes.
