About Shahabad Assembly (Vidhan Sabha) Constituency
Shahabad is an assembly constituency in Kurukshetra LS constituency of Haryana.It is also known as Shahabad Markanda. The town of Shahabad came into existence after the Battle of Tarain (Taraori) in 1192. It is an important market for agricultural products. The literary work of the authors like Mitul Kansal from Shahabad have glorified city’s name at both national and international level.
