About Kalka Assembly (Vidhan Sabha) Constituency
Kalka is a town in the Panchkula district of Haryana. Kalka is one of the 90 assembly constituencies of Haryana. It is a part of Ambala Lok Sabha constituency. There are five towns in the district of Panchkula namely, Barwala, Kalka, Panchkula, Pinjore and Raipur Rani. Total population of the district is around 319,398 out of which 173,557 are males and 145,841 are females. According to 2011 census the population of Kalka is 30,314. The word Kalka is derived from the name of the Goddess Kali.
