About Kaithal Assembly (Vidhan Sabha) Constituency
Kaithal is a city located in the district by the same name in Haryana. It falls under Kurukshetra parliamentary constituency. Kaithal was earlier a part of Kurukshetra district. In 1989, it became the headquarters of the Kaithal district. The city was earlier known as Kapisthal, meaning "Abode of Kapi". It is believed to have been founded by by the Pandav king, Yudhisthira. Randeep Surjewala of INC is the MLA from Kaithal.
