About Hodal Assembly (Vidhan Sabha) Constituency
Hodal is a municipal committee in Palwal district of Haryana. The town is famous for three things firstly, for the wife of Jat Maharaja Suraj Mal of Bharatpur, secondly as the head village occupied by the Sorot Jat clan and finally for an ancient temple dedicated to Lord Krishna is situated here. The total electorate in Hodal is 161765. The assembly constituency of Hodal falls under Faridabad parliamentary constituency. The constituency is reserved for the Scheduled Castes. Jagdish Nayar of INLD won the 2009 assembly elections. He defeated Uday Bhan of INC.
