DV Sadananda Gowda is the Statistics and Programme Implementa tion Minister of India

The Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation was established in 1999 after the Department of Statistics and Department of Programme Implementation merged together. The ministry is responsible for the adequate and accurate release of the statistics in the country. DV Sadananda Gowda, Minister of Statistics and Programme Implementation, currently heads the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation. General V.K. Singh from BJP headed the ministry before DV Sadananda Gowda.
