The Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment is a ministry of India which is responsible for the development, welfare and well -being of the marginalised sections of the society including scheduled castes (SC), Other Backward Class(OBC), elderly, disabled and victims of drug abuse. The Minister of the Social Justice and Empowerment heads the ministry and presently Dr. Virendra Kumar is the minister of Social Justice and Empowerment.
