Shri Anant Geete is the current minister of Heavy Industry and Public Enterprises

The Ministry of Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises is a government body to administer 48 Central Public Sector Enterprises (PSEs) and help them in their efforts to improve the utilisation and increase the profitability of the enterprises. For policy formation, the ministry and the Department of Heavy Industries serves as an interface between the PSE's. The head of the ministry is the Minister of Heavy Industries and Anant Geete is the present minister of the Ministry of Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises. Congress leader Praful Patel was the last Minister to held the position.
