The Ministry of Commerce and Industry administers the Department of Commerce and the Department of Industry in India. The Department of Commerce formulates and administers the implementation of the foreign trade policy, commercial relations, regulates the export oriented industries and commodities. The Department of Industry formulates and administers the growth and development of the industrial sector in India. The Minister of Commerce and Industry heads the ministry and currently Piyush Goyal is the Minister of Commerce and Industry.
