About Parbatta Legislative Assembly (Vidhan Sabha) Constituency

Parbatta is a legislative assembly segment in the state of Bihar, which is represented in the state assembly by Ramanand Prasad Singh of JD (U). The JD(U) MLA won the seat by getting 76,248votes in the 2015 Bihar Assembly Elections. He defeated BJP�s Ramanuj Choudhary with a margin of 28,924 votes. Ramanand Prasad Singh had won the 2014 py-polls conducted on this seat. Hence, he is currently serving his second term as MLA of Parbatta.


Parbatta has a strong electorate of around 2,86,173 eligible voters, amongst them 1,53,280 are men and 1,32,890 are women. This constituency had recorded a vote share of 59.14 % in the Bihar election 2015. The term of the current Bihar assembly will expire in 2020, therefore, elections are expected around the months of October or November.
