About Kochadhaman Assembly (Vidhan Sabha) Constituency

Kochadhaman is in Kishanganj district of Bihar and is one of the 243 legislative assembly constituencies of the state. The Kochadhaman assembly constituency came into existence in 2008 and consists of Pichhla, Belwa, Daula, Gachhpara, Mehangaon and Chakla gram panchayats of Kishanganj community development block and Kochadhaman CD block, as per the orders of the Delimitation Commission of India, 2008.

The Kochadhaman assembly constituency accommodates 2,05,971 eligible voters. There are 1,08,914 male and 97,055 female voters in the constituency. RJD's Akhtarul Iman represents Kochadhaman constituency in the Bihar legislative assembly, who grabbed the seat with 37,376 votes in 2010 assembly elections. He beat Mujahid Alam of JD (U) who managed 28,351 votes. Kochadhaman legislative assembly segment is a part of Kishanganj Lok Sabha (parliamentary) constituency of Bihar.
