About Ekma Legislative Assembly (Vidhan Sabha) Constituency

A part of the Maharajganj Lok Sabha (parliamentary) constituency, Ekma is a legislative assembly segment of the state of Bihar. Ekma is located in the Saran district of the state. The 2,82,811 eligible voters of Ekma elected Manoranjan Singh of JDU as their leader in the Bihar Election 2015. Singh scored 49,508 votes whereas BJP�s Kameshwar Kumar Singh could win 41,382 votes and stood as a runner up. Manoranjan Singh of JDU had first won the seat of Ekma in the year 2010. He won his second term as the MLA of ekma in 2015. This constituency contains 1,51,827 male voters and 1,30,979 female voters. The voter participation in Ekma for the Bihar Election 2015 was only 49.57 %. Bihar Assembly election 2020 will take place from October 28 to November 10, 2020.
