About Bagaha Legislative Assembly (Vidhan Sabha) Constituency

The 2,72,228 eligible voters of Bagaha Vidhan Sabha/ Assembly constituency had elected Bharatiya Janata Party’s Raghav Sharan Pandey as their MLA in the Bihar Election 2015. On the other hand, JDU’s Bhishm Sahani stood second with 4.1% votes less than the winner. Congress had a stronghold on Bagaha seat as it won the elections from 1957 to 1985. Also, JDU candidates won this seat in 2005, 2009 (By-poll), and 2010.


Bagaha constituency is in the Paschim Champaran district of Bihar. It comes under Valmiki Nagar parliamentary constituency. The next elections are expected to take place in October-November 2020.
