About Mayang Imphal Assembly Constituency

Mayang Imphal is constituency No. 23 of Manipur legislative assembly.
It is situated in Imphal West district and comes under Inner Manipur Lok Sabha constituency. It is an open assembly constituency.

According to data with the Election Commission of India, Mayang Imphal assembly constituency has 25,575 registered voters. It comprises 12,446 male and 13,129 female registered voters.

In the last assembly elections held in 2012, the Congress won this constituency by a safe margin of 791 votes. Khumujam Ratankumar Singh, the winning Congress candidate, got 10,353 votes. The nearest contender was Kongkham Manglem Singh of All India Trinamool Congress (AITC) who got 9,562 votes. The voter turnout was an impressive 92.22 %.
