About Idgah Assembly (Vidhan Sabha) Constituency

Idgah is a city in Srinagar district of Jammu and Kashmir. The city has many Idgahs. The most famous one is that of Ziarat Baba Buddan Shah. The assembly constituency of Idgah is a part of Srinagar parliamentary constituency. The constituency has been the JKNC bastion since 1983. Mubarak Ahmad Gul of JKNC won the 2008 assembly elections and is the current MLA. He defeated Asifa Tariq Qara of PDP with a very huge margin. Gul bagged 4457 votes as against Qara's 2778 votes.
