About Gulabgarh Assembly (Vidhan Sabha) Constituency

Gulabgarh is a town in Kishtwar district of Jammu and Kashmir. The assembly constituency of Gulabgarh belongs to Udhampur parliamentary constituency. It is the JKNC bastion. Abdul Gani Malik of JKNC won the 2008 assembly elections for the third consecutive time. He defeated his nearest rival Mumtaz Ahmed, an independent candidate. Malik received 14268 votes as against ahmed's 11020 votes.
