About Bachhwara Legislative Assembly (Vidhan Sabha) Constituency

Bachhwara is a legislative assembly segment in the state of Bihar. It is located in Begusarai district and is the Lok Sabha (parliamentary) constituency of Begusarai. The Bachhwara assembly constituency is home to 2,52,600 eligible voters, amongst whom 1,34,258 are male and 1,18,338 are female. The implementation of the orders of the Delimitation Commission of India in 2008 meant that the Bachhwara constituency would cover Bhagwanpur, Mansoorchak and Bachhwara community development blocks.
The Bachhwara assembly seat went to CPI's Abdesh Kumar Rai when he got 33,770 votes in the 2010 assembly elections. Rai defeated independent candidate Arvind Kumar Singh, who managed to get 21,683 votes.
