Telangana Assembly Election 2018: With the Telangana Assembly Election 2018 around the corner, Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) released a comprehensive 112-page manifesto covering 35 core issues pertaining to all sections of the State. TPCC Chief Uttam Kumar Reddy, party Telangana affairs In-charge RC Khuntia, senior leader Jairam Ramesh and other important leaders released the manifesto here in Gandhi Bhavan on Tuesday. In which from promising Rs 2 lakh loan waiver for farmers to an increase in the percentage of reservation for Dalits, the Congress has made grand promises in their manifesto.
Apart from the above mentioned, the party pushed promises for the recruitment of 20,000 teachers and allocation of up to 20 per cent of the state budget towards education development. The party also made a key announcement aimed at Below Poverty Line (BPL) families, including a health scheme of up to Rs 5 lakh and grants of up to Rs 5 lakh for the construction of houses.
Telangana will go to polls on December 7 in a single phase. The counting of votes is scheduled for December 11, along with the four other states that have seen Assembly elections in this round of election fever.
