CM Yogi Aditynath to meet PM Modi and Amit Shah today at Prime Minister’s residence for a key meeting. The meeting is politically significant as Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections are approaching and the Bhartiya Janata Party is taking all the necessary steps to retain its position in the state.

Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath is in New Delhi for a two-day visit where he is expected to meet top BJP leaders including Amit Shah, Party Chief JP Nadda, and PM Modi at his residence.

Amidst the UP rumbling about the way Yogi Adityanath has handled the pandemic in the state, the meeting with the saffron party holds crucial importance.

Apart from the upcoming Uttar Pradesh assembly elections and the criticisms over pandemic handling, there are some other flagged issues as well that might have led Yogi Aditnyath to visit the capital to meet PM Modi. Jitin Prasada’s exit from Congress and joining hands with BJP can be a huge concern for the CM Yogi as Prasada is expected to play a key role in Uttar Pradesh’s BJP party.

Also, friction within the state unit was also reported to the center recently. BL Santhosh, the general secretary of BJP was in Lucknow to meet various leaders and ministers to hear their concerns and gather feedback.

As the Uttar Pradesh assembly elections are approaching, BJP is taking all the necessary actions to strengthen its position in the state.
