Nationalist Congress Party and the Shiv Sena made an alliance to contest the future polls together, keeping in view the interests of Maharashtra. NCP further clarified, “We will be taking Congress and other smaller parties in the alliance as well who are a part of the Maha Vikas Aghadi Government”.

Recently, Ajit Pawar also made a statement, “Maharashtra’s ruling alliance will continue under Uddhhav Thackrey’s leadership”. He said, “There is only one formula as of now to fight the elections, and everyone will be working under Maharashtra’s Chief Minister’s leadership”.

Nana Patole, the president of Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee, made an announcement that “There is no confusion about who will be Maharashtra’s new Chief Minister. Congress will come to power”. He also said that he might even be the next CM of Maharashtra if the party members allow him. Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Ajit Pawar said, “There is nothing wrong in having big political ambitions but the Congress party is lacking in numbers. So, what is the use of all the songs and dance?”.

None of the political parties are striking an alliance with BJP, especially in Maharashtra. Shiv Sena also ruled out forming an alliance with BJP on which BJP leader, Raosahab Danve said, “In politics, there are no permanent enemies and friends. BJP and Shiv Sena won’t be joining hands in the future. BJP will battle the elections alone”.

Ajit Pawar said, “Three parties have come together after Uddhav Thackeray, Sharad Pawar and Sonia Gandhi took the decision to form the government”. NCP Chief Sharad Pawar also confirmed and said, “Shiv Sena is with us in the power and we will continue to work for the betterment of people in the forthcoming Loksabha and Assembly polls as well”.
