Rajasthan High Court has ordered the speaker to maintain the status quo on the disqualification notices sent to Sachin Pilot and rebel camp. The High Court has put off its verdict until the Supreme Court hears the case again.
Moreover, Ashok Gehlot has accused the Rajasthan Governor of delaying the assembly session. In a kind of threat, he said that his government will not be responsible if people gather around the Raj Bhavan.
In an attempt to build pressure on the Governor, Ashok Gehlot held a parade of his supporting MLAs in Raj Bhavan. The MLAs were seen shouting slogans inside the Raj Bhavan
Gehlot wants to hold the floor test as soon as possible since the Congress has only two more MLAs than the majority mark. The party doesn’t want these MLAs to slip off its hands.
High Court Verdict on Hold
The Rajasthan High Court today has put its verdict on the Speaker Vs Sachin Pilot camp on hold. Also, the High Court has directed the speaker to maintain the status quo on the notices sent to 18 rebel MLAs.
The court took this decision when Sachin Pilot and the group moved the application to include Central Government as a party. This was on the grounds that the constitutional provisional was challenged.
Ashok Gehlot Vs the Governor
Ashok Gehlot has blamed Governor Kalraj Mishra to delay the assembly session. Earlier in the day, the CM had maintained that the governor is acting under pressure from the central government.
After the show of strength in Raj Bhavan, Ashok Gehlot once again spoke to media. In his address, he stated that the Governor is the constitutional head of the state. He is bound to act on the advice of the state cabinet.
I am confident that the governor will not come under any pressure and call the special assembly session, added Gehlot. The CM is pushing on holding the assembly session to do away with the floor test as soon as possible.
pic.twitter.com/8YJroYfad8

Sachin Pilot’s Mini Win in Supreme Court
The Supreme Court on Thursday refused to put a stay on the Rajasthan High Court verdict. However, now the Rajasthan High Court has put the verdict on hold and is waiting for the hearing in the Supreme Court.
Sachin Pilot and rebels have challenged the grounds on which the speaker had sent notices to the rebel Congress MLAs. The Speaker had then challenged the High Court in the Supreme Court on the opinion that the courts can not interfere in this matter.
To which the supreme court held that the voice of the dissent in a democracy can not be suppressed like this.
Sachin Pilot Serves Notice to Giriraj Singh Malinga
