Ahead of the forthcoming Lok Sabha Elections 2019, BJP has decided to kickoff Bihar election campaign with all of its top leaders. Leaders such as Prime Minister Narendra Modi and home Minister Rajnath Singh are expected to visit Bihar twice during this period.
Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath will kickoff the rally today while adressing about 15 thousand workers including BJP’s head of Shakti Kendra of Lok Sabha constituency, district level and senior BJP workers from Purnia, Katihar, Kishanganj and Araria. Yogi will head straight to Purnia after presenting the Uttar Pradesh’s state budget in Lucknow.
During the campaign period Patna will host a two day national convention of the OBC Morcha on February 15th and 16th as OBCs and other backward classes plays a crucial role in shaping the results of Bihar Elections. BJP’s chief Amit Shah and Home Minister Rajnath Singh willl also be present during the convention.
On February 17, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to announce a number of Government projects in another rally in Begusarai. Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and Bihar’s chief minister Nitish Kumar will also be present during the rally. Modi might announce gas pipeline projects and revival of Barauni refinery during this rally.
OnFebruary 26, the party will be organizing Kamal Jyoti Sandesh, where BJP supporters will light up Diyas in their houses across the state. On March 2, the party organize Kamal Sansesh Yatra, where BJP will carry out bike rallies in all the blocks and districts. Modi is expected to return to Bihar on March 3 to address an NDA rally at Patna’s Gandhi Maidan where congress president Rahul Gandhi addressed a rally on February 3. Other than these rallies, BJP will also launch a campaign “ Mera Pariwar, Bhajpa Pariwar” from February 12 to March 2 in order to woo young and first time voters.
