Just seven days before the Delhi Assembly Election 2020, BJP has launched its poll manifesto for the state. As what the party calls it ‘Sankalp Patra’, was launched by in the presence of Nitin Gadkari. Harsh Vardhan, Prakash Javdekar, and BJP Delhi President Manoj Tiwari were also present at the event. The document maintains a competition with AAP’s manifesto containing poll sops. The significant points of the BJP Delhi Manifesto are Clean Water, Cheap Wheat Flour, and Employment. Although, the Bharatiya Janata Party has accused AAP of dispensing freebies to the voters. BJP, too, has mentioned poll gifts in the ‘BJP Sankalp Patra’. Let’s have an insight into the promises made by BJP for the Delhi Election 2020.
Clean Water, Cheap Flour, and Employment are the Highlights
In its BJP Delhi Manifesto, the party has announced that it will provide Wheat Flour at a rate of Rs 2 per kg to EBC people. ‘BJP will run a bullet train of developments in Delhi, said Nitin Gadkari. Manoj Tiwari added that the Bharatiya Janata Party aims to eradicate the need for water tankers.
Also, the BJP government will provide clean water to every household on the line of Centre’s ‘Jal Jeevan Mission’. There is also a mention of ‘Youth Talent Hunt’ in order to create employment in the state. It aims to create at least 10 Lakh jobs in a span of five years. BJP Delhi Manifesto also promised to spend Rs. 10,000 crores on infrastructure projects.
Freebies in the Line
Nitin Gadkari had taken a jibe at Arvind Kejriwal for poll gifts. He said that the freebies won’t carve Delhi’s future, instead, concrete steps are needed. Ironically, BJP Delhi Manifesto has also promised many goodies to the voters in the Delhi Election 2020. A poor girl will get Rs. 2 Lakh at the time of birth. Class 9 school girls would get free bicycles and college going girls will receive a free electric scooter. Bharatiya Janata Party has also assured to Rs. 51,000 to poor widows for their daughter’s marriage. In all, the Delhi Assembly Election 2020 has showered many gifts on the voters from all the parties.
The party has also called attention to the regularization of illegal colonies by the Modi Government. BJP will also implement the Central government’s Ayushman Bharat Yojana in Delhi. The BJP had accused Aam Aadmi Party of the non-implementation of the Scheme in the Capital.
AAP says it is a ‘Jumla Patra’
Aam Aadmi Party has said that the BJP has actually launched a Jumla Patra for the Delhi Election 2020. AAP’s Sanjay Singh said it was the BJP who has created the Tanker Mafias. He further said that Bharatiya Janata Party plans to end all the welfare schemes of the AAP government. Mr. Singh pointed out that the ‘Ayushman Bharat Schemes’ provides benefits to those whose income is less than Rs. 10,000. Whereas Delhi’s laborer earns around Rs. 14,000.
The polling for the Delhi Election 2020 is scheduled for 8 February. The votes will be counted on 11 February.
