Rajasthan Legislative Assembly elections 2018: In the Rajasthan assembly elections of 2018: Congress returned and Ashok Gehlot took oath of office on Monday. Today is a big achievement for the Congress as well as for Ashok Gehlot. Congress also tried to present this event as a demonstration of the opposition parties against the BJP and PM Narendra Modi .The big news is that many opposition leaders came together in Jaipur and from there they boarded the bus and left for the swearing-in.

These veteran leaders included

Many big leaders including Congress President Rahul Gandhi and former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh reached Rajasthan to join Ashok Gehlot’s swearing in. Opposition leaders include Sharad Pawar, Farooq Abdullah, HD Deve Gowda, Sharad Yadav besides Trinamool’s Dinesh Trivedi, Hemant Soren from Jharkhand, MK Stalin, Kanimozhi and Praful Patel from DMK. Apart from these leaders of the Left Front and TDP have also reached Jaipur. Navjot Sidhu has joined Punjab in-place of Chief Minister Capt Amarinder. Ashok Gehlot was sworn in as Chief Minister of Rajasthan and Sachin Pilot as Deputy Chief Minister.

These leaders were away from the swearing-in ceremony

Maya, Akhilesh Yadav and Mamta stayed away from the ceremony. Trinamool chief and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee herself did not come, but she sent Dinesh Trivedi as her representative. BSP President Mayawati and SP chief Akhilesh Yadav neither came themselves nor sent any representative. Aam Aadmi Party chief Arvind Kejriwal also did not arrive.

Opposition leader will also go to Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh:

It is being said that the opposition leaders who are coming to Rajasthan, will also go to Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh and there will also be demonstrations of opposition unity in view of the 2019 elections. Let me tell you that as the 18th Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Kamal Nath will be sworn in today’s Jamburi field. After 15 years in the state of Madhya Pradesh, Congress has made a comeback in power. In Chhattisgarh, Bhupesh Baghel will take the oath of office of Chief Minister.
