Congress swung its efforts to show solidarity against the Modi government at the swearing-in of Bhopal’s Jamburi field. Governor Anandiben Patel administered the oath of office and secrecy to Kamal Nath. The program included Congress President Rahul Gandhi, Sonia Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi, former PM Manmohan Singh, former PM Eddie Devgowda, Andhra Pradesh’s CM Chandrababu Naidu, NCP’s Sharad Pawar, National Conference’s Farooq Abdullah, Hemant Soren etc. In the state, the decapitation of Congress has ended. Congress emerged as the largest party in Madhya Pradesh assembly elections in the 230-seat Madhya Pradesh assembly, Congress got 114 seats. The BJP got 109 seats. The Congress had lagged behind the majority of the 116 seats but the Bahujan Samaj Party and Samajwadi Party had given their support to form the government.
In Madhya Pradesh, Congress had to work hard to choose the leader of the legislature party. Kamal Nath and Jyotiraditya Scindia got to witness a tremendous competition to become Chief Minister. Finally, after getting the green signal from the Congress high command, Kamal Nath’s name was finalized and he was elected leader of the legislature party. Madhya Pradesh’s nominated Chief Minister Kamal Nath may take the oath of Cabinet on 21 or 22 December after taking oath on Monday. With regard to the Cabinet, Kamal Nath will decide the names of ministers after discussions with top Congress leaders and AICC top leaders. In view of the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections, with the regional balance, the representation of ethnic, experience and youth will be kept in mind. In front of Kamal Nath, there is a challenge to join the supporters of state veterans in the Cabinet.
According to sources, Dr. Govind Singh, KP Singh, Sajjan Singh Verma, Dr. Vijayalakshmi Sadhau, Arif Akeel, Bala Bachchan, Bisahulal Singh, Imarti Devi, Tulsiram Silavat, Govind Singh Rajput, Hukum Singh Kara, Narmada Prasad Prajapati, experienced in Kamal Nath’s cabinet Young people like Jitu Patwari, Hina Kanwar, Priyavrat Singh, Umang Singhar, Tarun Bhanot, Sanjay Sharma, Sukhdev Panse, Kamleshwar Patel, Sachin Yadav can get a chance. On the other hand, Independent MLA Pradeep Jaiswal Gudda and Surendra Singh Sherra Bhaiya can also be included in the cabinet.
