In a rally in Aligarh, BJP President Amit Shah issued a warning against Mamta Banerjee over her attempts to stop BJP leaders and workers to enter the state. Amit Shah stated that Mamta will have to face the consequences for her actions. He added that with the growing popularity of BJP in the state Mamta is feeling anxious and is doing everything to stop that from happening.
“But she does not know that we are BJP workers and we will not rest until we ensure BJP’s win in 23 of the 42 seats in West Bengal,” Shah quoted.
This came after Yogi Adityanath was not allowed to enter by air and his chopper was not allowed to land in the state. Shivraj Chauhan was also denied to enter the state later that day. Shah added that Mamta is now aware that her time is over and its BJP who is going to win in the forthcoming elections so she is considering all the possibilities to stop BJP from winning in the state.
The BJP president also criticized Mamata for staging a dharna in Kolkata and asked who she was trying to protect and why. “She is trying to protect an officer because she fears that he might spill the beans on some scams to the CBI,” the BJP leader said.
Shah claimed that Trinamool goons are attacking BJP workers across West Bengal and they had killed 65 BJP workers so far. “But we will not sit quietly. Also, we won`t subscribe to any kind of violence. We will avenge all this by ensuring that people press the lotus button when the time to vote comes,” he noted.
