Suchetgarh is a town in Jammu district of Jammu and Kashmir. The assembly constituency of Suchetgarh falls under Jammu parliamentary constituency. Refugees, sufferings of the farmers, unemployment and migrants are some of the major issues faced by the people of the constituency. Sham Lal Choudhary of Bjp won the 2008 assembly elections and is the present MLA. He defeated Taranjit Singh of JKNC. Choudhary secured 17995 votes as against Singh's 10403 votes.
