About Rafiabad Assembly (Vidhan Sabha) Constituency
Rafiabad is a town in Baramulla district in the state of Jammu and Kashmir. The assembly constituency of Rafiabad is a part of Baramulla parliamentary constituency. The JKN won the seat in 2002 assembly elections but lost to PDP in the 2006 bypolls. Javaid Ahmad Dar of JKN won the 2008 assembly elections and is the present MLA. He defeated Mohammad Dilawar Mir of PDP who won the 2006 bypolls. Dar secured 13198 votes as against Mir's 12982 votes.
