About Lolab Assembly (Vidhan Sabha) Constituency

Lolab, one of the most beautiful valleys in the states is a part of Kupwara district.The assembly constituency of Lolab belongs to Baramulla parliamentary constituency. It had 85,474 registered voters in 2008 elections. Just as the 2002 elections, 2008 assembly elections witnessed a tough fight between Qaiser Jamsheed Lone of NC and Abdul Haq Khan of PDP. However Khan won the elections and is the present MLA. Khan bagged 23337 votes as against Lone's 17990 votes.
