About Moradabad Nagar Assembly Constituency

Moradabad Nagar is constituency No. 28 of Uttar Pradesh legislative assembly. It is situated in Moradabad district and comes under Moradabad Lok Sabha constituency. It is an open constituency.

According to data with the Election Commission of India, this assembly seat has 3,88,966 registered voters. It comprises 2,13,449 male and 1,75,487 female registered voters.

In the 2012 Assembly elections, the Samajwadi Party won this constituency convincingly by 20,238 votes. Mohammad Yusuf Ansari, the winning Samajwadi Party candidate, got 88,341 votes. Ritesh Kumar Gupta of BJP, the nearest contender, got 68,103 votes. The voter turnout was 53.85 %.
