About Agra Cantonment Assembly Constituency

Agra Cantonment is constituency No. 87 of Uttar Pradesh legislative assembly.
It is situated in the state's Middle Doab region and belongs to Agra district. It comes under the Agra Lok Sabha constituency. Both Agra Cantonment Assembly constituency and its corresponding Lok Sabha constituency Agra are reserved for scheduled castes.

According to the Election Commission of India, Agra Cantonment has 3,83,405 registered voters. It comprises 2,13,414 male and 1,69,978 female registered voters besides 13 voters in the Others category.

In the 2012 Assembly elections, the BSP won this constituency by 6,415 votes. Gutiyari Lal Duwesh, the winning BSP candidate, got 67,786 votes. The nearest contender was Girraj Singh Dharmesh of BJP who got 61,371 votes. The voter turnout was 54.45 %.
