About Khadoor Sahib Assembly Constituency

Khadoor Sahib is constituency No. 24 of Punjab legislative assembly. The north Indian state of Punjab is comprised of 117 assembly constituencies and it returns 13 MPs to the Lok Sabha. It is situated in Tarn Taran district and comes under Khadoor Sahib Lok Sabha constituency. It is an open constituency.

According to data with the Election Commission of India, Khadoor Sahib has 1,71,245 registered voters. It comprises 90,335 male and 80,910 female registered voters.

In the 2012 assembly elections, the Congress defeated the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) by a slim margin of 3,054 votes to win this constituency. Ramanjit Singh Sikki, the winning Congress candidate, got 66,902 votes. The runner-up was Ranjit Singh Brahampura of SAD who got 63,848 votes. The voter turnout was 80.07%.
