Assembly Election Results 2018 – Modi gets the biggest set back before Lok Sabha Elections 2019 5.00/5 (100.00%) 3 votes

All Four States Results - Assembly Elections 2018 Results

Five states with around 700 assembly states was seen as the semi final before 2019 Lok Sabha Elections.

Results are very shocking for BJP and on the other hand it is revival for Congress who was fighting for survival from last couple of years.

Congress won three states with Chhattisgarh a clean sweep, Rajasthan a comfortable win at last and Madhya Pradesh in a nail-biting fight. Despite faces like Modi, Amit Shah, Yogi, Shivraj Singh Chauhan and Dr. Raman BJP was unable to claim their forts.

Now the bigger question is –

What went wrong for BJP?

Is Modi wave over?

Has opposition managed to sneak in BJP’s strategy of winning elections?

Will Congress take this momentum and win Lok Sabha 2019 Elections?

Is Ram Mandir the only option for BJP to save the fort?

I believe the results are a reflection of the arrogance and ignorance shown by BJP leadership to voters and party members.

Five main reasons why BJP lost should be –

  1. Shifting from developmental issues and supporting non-development issues like Cow vigilantism, Name change of constituency, Ram mandir etc.
  2. Arrogance of Amit Shah and Modi towards the party seniors
  3. Ignored Farmers and their demands – Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh have huge number of voters as farmers
  4. Overconfident on Modi’s face value and not doing any major alliance
  5. Unity of opposition

But one thing is very clear BJP lost all five states there is no doubt on that but Congress has not delivered the expected results in Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan in terms of margin

It’s time to rethink for BJP and weld the damages soon before its too late
