The Congress released its second list of 21 candidates for the Lok Sabha elections 2019 on Wednesday. The grand old party fielded its Uttar Pradesh chief Raj Babbar from Moradabad, ex-Home minister Sushil Kumar from Solapur, Priya Dutt from Mumbai North-Central and Union minister Sriprakash Jaiswal from Kanpur. In the second list, 16 candidates were fielded from UP and five from Maharashtra.
So far Congress has declared 36 candidates for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections polls, which will be held in seven phases starting April 11. The last phase of the election is scheduled for May 19. The counting of the votes is on May 23.
While this is the first list that declares names of candidates from Maharashtra, this is the second list for Uttar Pradesh. Congress’s list on March 7 announced names of candidates for Gujarat and Uttar Pradesh.
The second list announces 16 candidates for UP and five for Maharashtra.
