There was a post from our senior editorial on the same topic last December which got huge attention. It has been one year since then and we are giving you the second part fro the article. (Link Below)
In last one-year Congress and its alliances have seen some victories like Punjab, Karnataka and now they might get couple of more in Rajasthan and Mizoram as per predictions of election gurus.
But one thing is very clear, the gap between win vs loss ratio is still huge.
I would say that the second interpretation is the one which majority would agree to. No one can doubt that Congress has given prime minsters like Lal Bahadur Shastri and Indra Gandhi who were prime examples of political acumen throughout their era. Even Rajiv Gandhi who didn’t have any political ambition maintained the decency of the leadership that was expected from a party like Indian National Congress.
With all these strong credentials he is the PM face for the Congress.
Is it something that only I can see? The Answer is No. Everyone who has some political sense and knowledge would agree to it, even intellectuals within congress know this fact but they don’t have the guts to say it loud.
Congress has to understand very quickly that they have candidates like Sachin Pilot and Madhavrao Scindia who have the mass appeal and credibility to lead the show for congress. Even some senior leaders like Chidambaram and Kapil Sibal would be much better leading the congress when compared to Rahul Gandhi.
I believe it is time to raise voices internally otherwise it will be too late for INC to make up for the loss of public support. And trust me even if BJP losses which eventually might happen sometime it would be parties like SP, BSP, TRS, JDS who will replace them in different states and not Congress
