Modi reiterated that India had made progress in most of the sectors during the last year. However upon asking about the electoral loss, Modi said wining and loosing is a part of elections. He added and accepted that Telangana and Mizoram had not given any chance to BJP yet to form the government and that Chhatisgarh was a clear loss, however he also emphasized that BJP did well in spite of anti-incumbency and achieved a hung assembly in Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh.
Modi Wave Over?
Talking about the “Modi Wave” he said he is happy that it’s actually a thing and people have admitted it. Calling it a wave of expectations and aspirations Modi said the number of people who trust him might have increased or decreased since he has a responsibility to set a narrative.

Calling Congress a culture Modi said India needs to get rid of the Congress Culture and the kind of thinking prevailing in the party and so the country. He added that Congress fails to even play the role of a strong opposition party.
Demonetization and GST
Modi said demonetization played a major role in removing most of the black money from the country and an environment of honesty has been created in the country. He added GST was a success for the country as the Tax net has now increased and the currency circulation in comparison to GDP has reduced. However, the complete implementation of GST is yet in progress due to some state reservations and once the implementation is complete India will see huge improvement in its Economy.
Farmers Loans Wavier
He said he has a vision to make no loan situations for the farmers and that’s why the government resumed over 100 schemes to help the farmers and added in order to find avenues to win elections Congress waived farmer’s loans which are actually just a political stunt by the government. Still the government didn’t stop the state government in doing so.
Ram Mandir issue.
Modi said the decision on the Ram Mandir is being stalled by all the Congress Lawyers as they have been creating obstacles for the decision to come and added that all the Lawyers including the Congress lawyers should head to court together and ensure that there is an early juridical verdict on the issue so that the government can perform its responsibilities.
Urjit Patel’s Resignation
Modi said Urjit Patel has been asking for resignation for over 6 months owing to his personal issues and the government has nothing to do with this. He clarified that there was no such political pressure on him and he did a great job as a RBI Governor.
Talking about Rafale deal allegations made by the Congress, Modi said the matter had been cleared by the Supreme Court and all the media houses should ask for evidence from Rahul Gandhi and his party for the false allegations they have been levelling. He said all they do is talking and have nothing to back their allegations. He said in order to take ‘Make in India’ a step ahead the deal was made to bring the technology in India. He also added that there should be a debate on removing all the middlemen involved in the defense deals the country makes.
Modi ended his interview on a note,” I leave it to the people to decide whether they are satisfied with my work or not. But one thing, I am not surprised, I could neither make the Lutyens’ world a part of me or me a part of them. I did not want them to be a part of me as my background is different. I am a representative of the non-elite world. I could not win them over, and I am still trying to win over such forces. I have enjoyed every minute. There is honesty in my work, and I work for the people.”
