The bypoll results will also show whether voters agree with her decision to ally with the BJP for the second time. Both the PDP and main opposition National Conference are campaigning intensively for the bypoll which is going to be held on 22 June.

    Punjab Congress president Amarinder Singh hit back at Arun Jaitley saying that the latter was trying to avenge his humiliating defeat in Punjab in the 2014 Lok Sabha polls. Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley had earlier accused Amarinder of his family possessing foreign accounts. While daring his BJP rival to provide the details of properties he allegedly held abroad, Amarinder added that he would also prove that Jaitley was abusing his position to target him.

  • Nitish Kumar Set to Address Series of Rallies in UP Ahead of State Assembly Polls

    In a bid to intensify the party's campaign in election-bound Uttar Pradesh, Bihar Chief Minister and key JD(U) leader Nitish Kumar has planned to address a series of rallies in the state over the next few months. Nitish was in Mirzapur a couple of days back and has already attended three rallies in UP since February this year. According to JD(U) general secretary K.C. Tyagi, another three rallies have been planned for July and at least two dozen more in the next few months.
