  • Bitter Battle for BMC
The election of BMC in Mumbai has made old time friends into foes. Shiv Sena and the BJP who were fighting the elections earlier together have this time broken their alliance and are going solo for the BMC Asia’s riches civic body which has an annual budget of Rs. 38,000 crore. It is a battle of survival for Shiv Sena as the erstwhile partner BJP is ruling the state and if it loses BMC it would be out of the political reckoning in the state. The two parties are going to voters with the new promises. Whose promises people buy would be only known after results are out.
