    B.Y Raghavendra, son of B S Yeddyurappa has rested all speculations of his candidature at the upcoming Karnataka elections and has said that he is not going to contest the Assembly Elections this time and is going to limit his role as a 'karyakartha' of the party. He further said he is not going to contest at all and is given a responsibility as the co-convener of the district election committee in Shivamogga by the party, so he is going to stick to his role.

  • Karnataka Assembly Elections 2018: NCP won't contest in the elections
    Nationalist Congress Party(NCP) has announced on Thursday that it is not going to contest the Karnataka Elections which are going to be held on May 12, days after the Janata Dal (Secular) called off its alliance with NCP which is led by Sharad Pawar. The general secretary of NCP D P Tripathi has said that the coalition was a step ahead towards defeating BJP.

  • Siddaramaiah decides to contest from "safe" Badami constituency
    The Chief Minister of Karnataka, Siddaramaiah, who is already contesting from Chamundeshwari in Mysuru district has also decided to contest from the Badami Assembly Constituency. Siddaramaiah held a marathon meeting on Thursday with the sitting Badami MLA Chimmanakatti and persuaded him to vacate the constituency for him. According to media reports, Chimmanakatti is voluntarily vacating his constituency for Siddaramaiah as he wants to see him as Chief Minister again.
