  • TRS Secures a Convincing Win in Greater Hyderabad Civic Polls
    Proving the exit polls right, the ruling TRS secured a thumping victory by winning 99 out of the 150 seats of the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation. While the Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (MIM) won 44 seats, neither the BJP nor the Congress could touch double digit. They got 4 and 2 seats respectively. In 2009, the Congress had won 50 seats. The final results of Puranapul revealed that the MIM won with a margin of 2878 votes.
