About Kondotty Assembly Constituency

Kondotty is constituency No. 33 of Kerala legislative assembly. This unreserved assembly seat is situated in Malappuram district and comes under the Malappuram Lok Sabha constituency. The Malappuram Lok Sabha constituency came into being in 2008 following delimitation.

According to the Election Commission of India, Kondotty has 1,58,057 registered voters. It comprises 78,538 male and 79,519 female registered voters.

In the 2011 assembly elections, the Muslim League won this seat by a convincing margin of 28,149 votes. K. Muhammedunni Haji, the winning Muslim League candidate, got 67,998 votes. P. C. Naushad of CPI(M) was the runner-up with 39,849 votes. The voter turnout was 75.72 %.
