About Cherthala Assembly Constituency

Cherthala is constituency No. 103 of Kerala legislative assembly. It is situated in Alappuzha district and comes under the Alappuzha Lok Sabha constituency. It is an open constituency.

According to the Election Commission of India, this assembly seat has 1,90,806 registered voters. It comprises 93,350 male and 97,456 female registered voters.

CPI candidate P. Thilothaman won this seat in the 2011 Assembly elections by securing 86,193 votes. The runner-up, K.R. Gouriamma of JPSS, got 67,878 votes. The winning margin was 18,315. The voter turnout was 85.08 %.
