About Adoor Assembly Constituency

Adoor is constituency No. 115 of Kerala legislative assembly. This assembly seat is reserved for scheduled castes (SC). It is situated in Pathanamthitta district and comes under the Pathanamthitta Lok Sabha constituency.

According to the Election Commission of India, Adoor assembly constituency has 1,94,014 registered voters. It comprises 89,881 male and 1,04,133 female registered voters.

In the 2011 assembly elections, the CPI(M) managed to clinch this seat by a margin of just 607 votes. Chittayam Gopakumar, the winning CPI(M) candidate, got 63,501 votes. INC candidate Pandalam Sudhakaran was the nearest contender with 62,894 votes. The voter turnout was 69.61 %.
